About the book
In The Longest Way Home, Grand Master Robert Silverberg crafts a rich, far-future coming-of-age odyssey. The story follows Joseph, a fifteen-year-old heir to a ruling family who becomes trapped thousands of miles away from safety when a sudden native rebellion erupts. To survive, he must undertake a perilous, reality-shattering journey across an alien world, learning the true nature of his planet's social order and his own inner strength. It stands as a masterful blending of deep sociological sci-fi and classic planetary adventure.
